November 10, 2:00-4:00pm
Instructor: Jim and Amy Anderson
Location: Youth Art Studio - Gallery
Students (ages 8-12) will learn to construct a three dimensional tree from a flat, two dimensional pattern using the slab method of clay construction. They will add textures which will create a patterned surface that varies. Repetition, scale and variance are the art vocabulary that will be discussed. The trees will be dipped in a semi-transparent green glaze that will enhance the textures and give the tree a natural forest color. Projects will be completed by the end of the class and will be glaze fired and ready to pick up in three weeks, before the winter holiday season begins!
