Class Description: Students will use an oxygen-propane torch to make marbles out of borosilicate glass. Various marble design techniques will be covered. Safety, flame dynamics and glass theory will be discussed. Students are strongly advised to sign up for Glass Lab to build upon techniques learned in this and previous courses.


IMPORTANT: Students taking glass courses must wear natural fiber clothing (i.e., cotton shirt and denim jeans), closed toe shoes and hair tied back and out of the way. Loose clothing that will be in the way of the torch is strongly discouraged.
